A couple days after Valentine's Day we collaborated with Heather Skye at The Sinclair of Skaneateles to do a Stevie Nicks inspired shoot! As always: It was amazing and I was left holding pictures that made me realize how much I had always wanted 'these' pictures!
I knew my parents when they were young-music, every Saturday morning blared through our trailer while my Mom cleaned and it was always Cher, Tanya Tucker, Reba, or if Dad was home: Aerosmith, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton, Hendrix, or Southern Rock.
As a preteen, it was movies: Ghost, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Overboard, etc... These images, in this post from Heather's work at The Sinclair remind me so much of my 'childhood' pop culture references. The above makes me think of Demi and Swayze in Ghost and the below makes me think of the album covers of the 'Singers,' (what they were called back then because now the ladies are rockers too!) that Mom had blaring out of our stereo (that had a record player and tape deck installed)!!!
