Real Bride: Desiree came to me in February. Her dress had come in the wrong size: too small; which, for us at Gee June was not a challenge but, an opportunity! Our solution was Satin Loops and a dress back to match her dress front!
Desiree's dress was also too long and she wanted the train removed. This gave us ample fabric to work with. We were able to cut out bias strips and build a dress back to match her front. We hand beaded her dress back in sporadic Swarovski crystals, pearls, and metallic beads while gathering and tacking the satin to match the bodice's gathered pleat look.
Jess Burhans of Burhans Photos captured our handwork below!
On-Site dressing is a service Gee June offers alongside customization. For Desiree we reported on-site at Greek Peak Mountain Resort to steam her and her Bridal Party's dresses as well as tie her into her dress!
This image captures the details of the dress back! We hand sewed over 100 bias cut tulle strips to the dress and tacked bias strips of satin to match Desiree's dress front. We hand beaded the dress back with Swarovski crystals and metallic beads.
When we customize a dress for a Bride we offer local, On-Site dressing as a courtesy! We will help dress a Bride and steam gowns, tuxedo's and formal wear.
In addition to customizing Desiree's dress and reporting on-site for dressing we made Danika's flower girl dress out of 2000 feet of tulle!
