His & Hers: Matching the Boutonniere to the Bride!

His & Hers is always a fun trend in Bridal.  Coffee mugs, towels, cute gag gifts are all a Bridal Shower's staple but, adornments?!?!?!  YES!

Alicia and Jherret were the pioneer's of His and Her adornment matching for Gee June; which, has become a successful niche for us!  After Alicia and Jherret's adornments made their debut every Bride thereafter wanted to hop on the wagon and have their head pieces match the Groom's boutonniere!

By preference Alicia refused a veil but still wanted opulence in her hair that corresponded with her and Jherret's country wedding!  As mint green was their wedding color we chose pastel Peonies in pink, dehydrated leaves reminiscent of hay, and cream Hydrangea's to add a natural and slightly imperfect balance in her adornment's design.

Using metallic paint in a soft platinum,  pearls in ivory and rustic sienna (to add country elegance), lace, Swarovski crystals, and glass beads we hand crafted two Peony Bulbs about to bloom with scattered elegance falling out of the petal's seams.

A Crystal Headband was fashioned with cream Hydrangea petals that we painted and curled using our vintage hat-making iron and added pearls to coordinate to the Peony bulbs.

Jherret's boutonniere was then fashioned using a petite Peony bulb, baby's breath to add a touch of greenery and a Queen Anne's appeal as well as coffee stained Hydrangea petals for amore masculine tone to Alicia's cream Hydrangea petals.

This project inspired us so much that we created a capsule collection named the Alicia Collection for cash and carry at Bridal Barn in Homer, NY.

Alicia and Jherret were married in the Summer of 2015!  Their Photographer was Leanne Rose of Leanne Rose Photography.  Leanne Rose is on facebook and their official website is: Leeannerosephotography.com.
